What is a BACS transfer?

A BACS transfer, or Banker Automated Clearance Service, allows funds to be directly deposited into a bank from a pay check or directly withdrawn for checks sent to others.

What is a BACS approved bureau?

A Bacs Approved Bureau is a bureau inspected by Bacs and accepted into their system. Bacs inspectors periodically review the appropriateness of the payroll bureaux to ensure they meet the standards set by their schemes. Although a payroll Bureau is approved, Bacs inspectors will make regular audits in order to make sure that your payment processes and security are compliant. Hence, a bureau is a Bacs user which can submit payment instructions on your behalf.
